NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed, a resident of Seohara in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, and Munir, the main accused in the murder case of his wife Farzana, died due to illness in Sonbhadra Jail. On the night of April 2, 2016, Munir Ahmed shot dead NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed and his wife Farzana while returning from the Seohara wedding ceremony.

In the year 2014, ten cases were registered against Munir in Aligarh and Delhi. In the year 2014 itself, a case of robbery and murder took place in Jaffrabad, Delhi. In the same year, another murder case was registered against Munir in Delhi’s Rupnagar police station. After Delhi, in the year 2014, a case of murder was also registered in Aligarh. In Lucknow too, two cases including one of murder are registered against Munir.

Munir had spread sensation by killing NIA officer
