Rajesh Gulati, a software engineer by profession, had killed his wife Anupama Gulati after a quarrel. After this, the dead body was cut into 72 pieces. Anupama lived with her husband Rajesh Gulati in Prakash Nagar, Cantt area of ​​Dehradun.

After killing his wife at home on October 17, 2010, Rajesh cut the body into 72 pieces with stone cutters and saws. After this he was hidden in the deep freezer. He used to carry one piece in a black bag every day to dispose of the dead body.

After this he used to throw those pieces in the forest on Mussoorie Road. He used to tell both his children that the mother had gone to Delhi and would come in a few days. This was revealed when Anupama’s brother Siddhant Pradhan came to Doon.

On September 1, 2017, the court’s decision came in this matter. Rajesh Gulati was sentenced by the court of Additional District and Sessions Court Pancham Vinod Kumar. Government advocate BD Raturi and defense advocate Utkarsh appeared before Judge Vinod Kumar in the court.

Both the parties argued on their behalf. Considering this case as rare of rarest, the court sentenced Rajesh Gulati to life imprisonment. Government advocate BD Raturi told that at present his bail application is pending in the High Court.
