The domestic stock market opened on a green mark on Friday, but as soon as it opened, it fell by about 100 points. On the last trading day of the week, the Sensex gained 86 points to 60045, while the Nifty opened at a level of 17867 points with a gain of 9 points. Bank Nifty gained 90 points and opened at the level of 42171 points. The market started showing pressure in the early trade itself and it was seen slipping up to 200 points. HCL shares are showing a weakness of 1.5 per cent after the December quarter figures were released. There is a boom in the shares of Tata Steel and Power Grid Corporation of India. In Friday’s trading session, the rupee strengthened against the dollar and opened at 81.2600. In the previous trade, it had closed at around 81.5500 level.
