Run For Delhi University: Today Olympian Neeraj Chopra will flag off Run for DU

Delhi University (DU) will organize centenary run on Friday under the slogan Run for DU. Arjun Munda, Union Cabinet Minister for Tribal Affairs, will be the chief guest at the run organized to commemorate 75 years of the country’s independence and 100 glorious years of its academic excellence. At the same time, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Vivek Thakur will be the special guest. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will flag off the race from the University Sports Complex ground.

According to DU, the race is being organized in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of India under the Fit India Movement, a nationwide movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The race was organized by the Director of Delhi University South Campus, Prof. Will be done under the direction of Sriprakash Singh.

Students, research scholars, teachers, non-teaching staff and alumni of Delhi University have registered for the centenary run. About 50 Divyang students will also participate in the run, for whom a special run circuit has been prepared.
