The horse-trading issue of TRS MLAs is gaining momentum in Telangana. Now the Telangana Police probing the matter has sent summons to top BJP leader and party general secretary BL Santhosh. The SIT has asked him to appear for questioning on November 21. If they do not do so, the SIT can also arrest them.
At the same time, after the issue of summons, BJP leader BL Santosh is also preparing to file a petition in the High Court for interim bail. On the night of October 26, based on a complaint by one of the TRS MLAs, P Rohit Reddy, a case was registered against Ramachandra Bharti alias Satish Sharma, Nand Kumar and Simhaji Swamy under relevant sections – criminal conspiracy, offer of bribe and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Cases were registered under According to the prima facie, Rohit Reddy alleged that the accused offered him Rs 100 crore. In return, he had put a condition that he would have to leave TRS and join BJP.
MLAs complained about receiving threats over phone
Four TRS MLAs Pilot Rohit Reddy, B Harshavardhan Reddy, Rega Kantha Rao and Guvwala Balraju have complained of receiving threat calls from unknown persons. He has been asked over phone to leave TRS and join BJP. Allegedly the inducement of money was also given. Cases under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code have been registered at Raidurgam, Banjara Hills, Ghatkesar and Gachibowli police stations following complaints by the MLAs.
The High Court said- B.L. Santosh should not be arrested
A single-member bench of the High Court, while hearing the petition, ordered that the SIT be headed by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Satosh should not be arrested or strict action taken.
