The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of five kilometers underground at Jogindernagar in Mandi district. Apart from Mandi, tremors were also felt in Kullu, Kangra, Bilaspur, Shimla for three to five seconds. Many people came out of their houses due to panic and ran towards open places. DC Mandi Arindam Chowdhary said that there was no report of any damage due to the earthquake. Tremors were also felt in Bhuntar and Manali.
